condolence
When the minister arrived, he found the man lying in bed with his head propped up on two pillows. An empty chair sat beside his bed. The minister assumed that the old fellow had been informed of his visit.
"I guess you were expecting me", he said.
"No, who are you?" said the father.
The minister told his name and then remarked, "I saw the empty chair and I figured you knew I was going to show up."
"Oh yeah, the chair," said the bedridden man.
"Would you mind closing the door?"
Puzzled, the minister shut the door.
"I have never told anyone this, not even my daughter," said the man.
"But all of my life I have never known how to pray. At church I used to hear the pastor talk about prayer, but it went over my head."
"I abandoned any attempt at prayer," the old man continued, "until one day four years ago, my best friend said to me, "Johnny, prayer is just a simple matter of having a conversation with Jesus. Here is what was suggested.
"Sit down in a chair; place an empty chair in front of you, and in faith see Jesus on the chair.
"It's not spooky because he promised, "I will be with you always".
"Then just speak to him in the same way you are doing with me right now."
"So, I tried and I've liked it so much that I do it a couple of hours every day. I am careful though if my daughter saw me talking to an empty chair, she'd either have a nervous breakdown or send me off to the funny farm."
The minister was deeply moved by the story and encouraged the old man to continue on the journey. Then he prayed with him, anointed him with oil, and returned to the church.
Two nights later, the daughter called to tell the minister that her daddy had died that afternoon.
"Did he die in peace?" he asked.
"Yes, when I left the house about two o'clock, he called me over to his bedside, told me he loved me and kissed me on the cheek.
When I got back from the store an hour later, I found him dead.
Apparently, just before daddy died, he leaned over and rested his head on the chair beside the bed.
"What do you make of that?"
The minister wiped a tear from his eye and said, "I wish I could go like that".for the 'manna' pastor from US who came to our church sometimes mths ago - according to our pastor, he passed away on fri... condolences to the wife and family. the couple even planned to come to our church again next year. but then again, who are we to plan huh? =P

The lady confidently said : "Talcum powder".

joke of the day
Patty had recently added special legs to his barstools, which were the talk of the fashionable eastside neighborhood. All 5 Nuns sat up at the bar and were enjoying their Cokes when Monsignor Riley and Father McGinty entered the bar through the front door.

to risk nothing
To hope is to risk pain.
To try is to risk failure,
but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.”

mooncake festival
An annual event here in the street of old buildings with fine architecture – so far, has never missed ‘attendin’ this event! Haha… though it was raining / drizzling last night, this time arnd, went with my ol pals. To my disappointment, there weren’t much to see, unlike the previous years - Lil sis and I ate this and that from almost every stalls! Haha… JK! But this year, the stalls has lessen in number, and the variety oso. Too bad.
Oh yea, the first time I ate the ‘malak mien’ (szechuan noodle, I guess) was during this fest, years ago… with porkey. Haha… back then, tot it was really NOT tasty! Haha… but now, I’ve grown to LOVE it~ a lot! Hahaa… And, these HUGE lanterns, I SAID I’VE NEVER SEEN EM THERE BEFORE THIS YEAR, but the rest of my frens said that those lanterns were there the previous years~ HOW COME? I really have not noticed these huge bawangs before leh! The biggest I saw was a year when they hung ONE huge one, but different type and the motif on that was of a Chinese Opera mask – at the side of the courthse. Got mer? I'm not that blind kua? These are HUGEly huge leh. Impossible I dun notice em the years before, IF they were there! Hehe…

misunderstood
1. fyi, I DO NOT argue with my boss ANYMORE, ok. Haha… (so to you-know-who-you-are, thank you very much for the ‘brilliant’ 2-3pm advice!) haha… somehow, after a year working here, I'm no longer that arrogant, naïve, hot-tempered lil mafan. Wondering why too, myself. In fact, I can REALIZE the change in me, and I think I amazed myself! LOL… speaking of masuk bakul angkat sendiri! Hahahaha… but very true, they both (mr & mrs boss) said so too. Guess I'm used to the working environment liau kua? Haha… really funny to think back how violent I was. REALLY!! Hahaha… stupidnyeee. Hahaha… LOL. So, in short, I have been a very good girl since early this year. Hahaha… so, no nida suggest any ideas liau ar. Thank kiuk very muchie. Hahaha… (btw people, can please please don't remember me as that girl or not? LOL… haha. Laugh dead me here! Let the past be buried peacefully ha. Haha. Coz it’s a terribly un-nice an attitude! Malu also la, okay! Haha…)
2. and! NO, I don't fly Boeing 747 airplanes. Hehe… Chinese should know what I mean. Haha… kenak complained again, by more than ONE person that I always ‘fly them aeroplane’. Hehe… no ler, I don't think so ler. 737, maybe kua. Haha… just kidding!! Seriously, no lah. Even if there were times like dat, must be due to the ‘Attack of the Lazyworms’! Hehehe… (blame it on the worms!)

give it a try...
Received a mail today (thursday), walao! Another person I got to know just recently, is gona leave kch too! Aisi nya… WHY is everyone leaving? Argghh… so UN-nice! LUCKILY this person that I consider as a fren, isn’t someone whom I’ve known for long… else, I tell u – i'm gona get short term depression, I tink! Hahahaha… nah, not THAT serious yet! (master of exaggeration, I AM… remember? Hahaha) but, honestly, I'm glad I dun know him for long. I know it sounds soooo ‘heartless’ (bo sim), but that is the truth ma… at least, not soooo much of an impact on me. Hehe… I am being VERY honest here, ok. Pardon me if i'm being offensive! Hehe… wich, I dun tink I am! Hahaha…
But still, it is NEVER nice to know people, and then, leave. Can even teach me a thing or two on photography, I tink! Haha… but anyway, I really wish u all the very best in your new environment, new life, new job, new everything! And do email me once in a while! =D Haih… I really dislike people leaving! NOT THAT I WUD BE BUGGING THEM ALL THE WHILE, no… sometimes, they are those kinda frens that u DON’T really go out with, but still, its like - another person NOT HERE (in your town) liau. IT IS NOT NICE TO KNOW this kinda news =(
And, speaking of wich… frens are frens NOT because they are of any USE to each other (atlis, that is wad I feel). There are people u can just click with, no matter how ‘unknown’ they are to u. me – when i'm in my so-called ‘comfort zone’, I am chatty. Hahah… noisy, sometimes. And loud. So, when u see me quiet, as to be able to count the words coming outta my mouth, haha… u know why then. Hehe... and, speaking of wich again, the other fren I’ve known for years… since primary One – who is leaving oso, sometime next week, is ALREADY wasiat-ing EACH AND EVERYONE of us with ‘non-monetary’ thingie (he said!) hehe… two of wich he wasiat-ed , “get a bf!”… LOL! Cish! Hahah… and, our shuttlecock ‘stocks’! Hahahaha… just dump in my car lidat nia! Hahaha…
Okay, before anyone continues reading and in their mind, keep thinking – this is boring (but stil cont reading, I duno why), lemme just say – this one is dead sure a boring one! Hahaha… can stop reading liau. This is the post of a ‘at-the-moment’ moody girl. AND! ‘dun worry – dunno YET’ is also not a good one! from ANOTHER (different) person who ‘duno yet’ whether leaving or not! its not worry! its... indescribable. forget it.
And then, a uni-mate, my ex-roomie when I was in kl for my internship, is seriously in a dilemma whtr to accept the new job offer in KL or not, away from her hometown. Wich I really think she should accept, now that her parents had already okay-ed her leaving. Its really cute how she fwds all the correspondences btwn her and the company to me everynite since, and I really duno whether wadever I replied her made any differences or not in her decision making! Hahaha… but I appreciate her sharing with me. Haha… ahh, miss her lots! Chances come not everyday. And haha… with this, I really think, no matter how un-nice, how moody I’ll feel when frens told me they are leaving, still, I will say this (EVENTUALLY) – give it a try. U’ll never know what’s ahead. Hehehehe… I'm outta my mind tonite! Hahaha… (must be terjangkit by that Porkey! Hahahha…).
Ok. That’s is for tonite. Hehe… listening to keri hilson & timbaland’s ‘they way I are’. NICE... and i kenot yahu! hmmph!!!

you are who u think you are
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can.

~awkward lunch~
A asked B & B’s employer out for lunch one afternoon. B dun normally take lunch, but being polite to thier clients, she agreed. The boss cudnt attend cos was tied up with a project submission. Afterall, it’s a once in a bluemoon lunch. So B went for a drink, thinking that A wud be bringing along his junior gal colleague whom B has got to know during their meetings. But it turned out that A brot along C, someone B has never met.
A: here, this is the guy I wanted to introduce to u…
B: (mata terbeliak besar besar!)
A: …as a client. And he’s still single, but I think he looks older than me, though he’s 2 years younger than me.
Introduction etc… food ordering etc…
A: do you know where his HOUSE is? Neh, opposite etc etc etc… behind that building is his parents’ hse. Besides his parents’ hse is his new hse. Where got people so stupid building a big hse just to stay alone with his parents, don’t u think?
B just enjoyed her drinks, and the stories… while C had to just let his cousin A nonsensing – being a lawyer, he is good at toking craps – NON STOP.
C to B: so wad does your company do actually? Wad kinda stuffs do u people do?
B: neh, those usual stuffs companies like ours do, blab la bla… a bit of this n that, here n there… bla bla
A: oh, they can do EVERYTHING very nicely. U see, my whole office from the interior to the exterior, they did it… blab la (compliments!)… (and even promoted B’s company to another customer who ate there).
Actually, most of the conversation came from A.
A to C: eh, you’re not goin to visit your elder sis?
C: dun think so. See how first… etc etc.
A to B: his sis just gave birth, u see. (to C) can bring her along ler.
B: his sis gave birth and bringing me along? What on earth has ANY of that to do with me?
C laughed. Speechless at his talking-machine cousin.
A to B: if I were u, I’d go. His sis gave birth in Australia.
B gave A the skeptical look.
…
A to C: eh, mooncake fest is coming le! You gotta buy some mooncakes for B, and some for B’s boss oso.
B: ha. ha. wad for?!
A: and then, you’re goin traveling tomorrow rite? don’t forget to get B chocolates! She loves chocs!
(of cos, in between, there are some minor conversations / feedbacks from B & C… but most of the craps came from this A’s mouth. Really.)
After eating, and nonsensing… A paid.
C: am I not supposed to pay this time?
A: nvm. I pay this time arnd. U pay for the next meet.
And lotsa other craBs… obviously, mostly from A.
So, if you were in that scenario, what wadaya think? Introducing a CLIENT, or…tryin to be “a ‘good’ Samatarian”? (samatarian - like how the rainbow guy miss-pronounced it during the kayak trip. Samaritan lar… apalah!)
oh yea, through out the whole lunch, B din even get to introduce herself.
~awkward lunch~
(here pear, the ‘fwded’ story – 1st hand la still. just dont laugh dead. hehe. this is wad i call ridiculous - BIG TIME!).

blood donation
09. You will weigh less — one pint less when you leave than when you came in. (tis oso?)
08. It's easy and convenient — it only takes about an hour and you can make the donation at a donor center, or at one of the many Red Cross mobile blood drives.
07. It's something you can spare — most people have blood to spare... yet, there is still not enough to go around.
06. Nobody can ask you to do any heavy lifting as long as you have the bandage on. You can wear it for as long as you like. It's your badge of honor. (lol... so big deal mer? apala)
05. You will walk a little taller afterwards — you will feel good about yourself.
04. You will be helping to ensure that blood is there when you or someone close to you may need it. Most people don't think they'll ever need blood, but many do.
03. It's something you can do on equal footing with the rich and famous — blood is something money can't buy. Only something one person can give to another.
02. You will be someone's hero — you may give a newborn, a child, a mother or a father, a brother, or a sister another chance at life. In fact, you may help save up to three lives with just one donation.
01. It's the right thing to do. TOP TEN EXCUSES FOR NOT DONATING!
02. I am too busy
03. No-one ever asked me… I didn't realize my blood was needed
04. I already gave this year
05. I am afraid I'll get AIDS
06. My blood isn't the right type
07. I don't have any blood to spare
08. I don't want to feel weak afterward
09. They won't want my blood (I am too old / I've had an illness)
10. I have a rare blood type, so I'll wait until there is a special need

kayaking
Hahaha… AT LEAST, I DUN NAVIGATE TOWARDS THE ROCKS (like the other boy+gal canoe there – never got to know their names tho!). and, AT LEAST, I DUN KEEP DOIN THE ‘sand-landing’ like B&J did, or the overturned one. Hahah…
This one ar, hugging the life jacket and tried making my way across the stream during one of our breaks, man! Ended up, the other girl I’ve just met, sl, had to pull me through! LOL… paisehnyeee me. PIPS DUN SWIM, I FORGOT ABOUT THAT. Hahahahaaha… then, it was kinda against the current some more! So, got ‘flow-ed’ away towards the rocks, and susah payahly made our way back again, further down the stream. Haha… one word – TIRING! Hahaha… really really tiring ler! But was fun! Haha.. esp when u know your safe, and its cold in the water. Nice nice. Haha…
Ha!~ (word by word, exactly) the best COMPLIMENT I got! Hahahahaha… ESPECIALLY from someone who wanted to AUCTION tiau me! Hahahaha… =P bluekkk!
Seriously new strangers. Haha… (there’s old stranger too, in this case). Hehe… DEFINITELY GONA MISS TEASING THE ‘VERY-8-RAINBOW’ GUY. Haha… (if only he reads! LOL). He’s oso the person who taught me & the other 2 gals on the Rainbow community, and also the association of a CERTAIN color with that kinda community, which needless to say, is the color of MY canoe, and so, I got ‘blamed’ by u-know-who for choosing that canoe. Hahah… but like wat the other girl said to this rainbow guy, “shut up lar u”. hahahaha… nice meeting em all. And to the rainbow guy, I bet each and everyone of us at the front canoe wud like to say this to u – THANX A LOT FOR YOUR SPLASHES! hehe. btw, me not a big fan of pink.
One said, “haha, because there’s nothing else to burn”. Another said, “even if got, it makes no difference!”
OK OK! I got it. I'm very ‘tanned’. I know… dun have to keep ‘menyindir’ me. I dun mind at all. Haha…
Why daun kari all of a sudden? Haha… we got to stop twice, one of wich was at a bidayuh kampong, and we went for a round. The instructor introduced us to this lil malnourished pokok - I din even know is curry leave. Petik-ed one leaf and had it kept the whole way, until halfway thru somebody asked from me, so I gave away HALF, reluctantly… hahaha. Brot it home ler, wadaya think! Smells just soooooooooooooo nice, I tell u. no wonder curry is sooooo delicious. Haha… yum yum!
