looonnnggggg break! and im back!

helo people! hehehe! hope u all had a greeeeaaaaaaaat Chinese New Year break! as for me, I'm having a very nice long one! starts working today (monday), and soon enuf, its payday again! muahahahah!

cny this year, hmm… gues not too bad still. got visits from frens whom I’ve long lost contact with, and gues wad? I AM STILL GETTING ANGPAOS FROM RELATIVES ETC!!! hahahah… well, if u dunno, some people, like some of my frens, they dont receive anymore angpaos once they started working! take note, it is NOT that they don’t want to accept the angpaos, it is that some people stop giving us angpaos once we start working as it somehow means that we are old enuf already! hehehehe! but still, tis year, mine is still more or less the same as last year. hehehehe… not bad huh! hahaha…

and then, lemme see, how was my cny. oh! one major difference tis year – I dun get visits from my uni frens anymore, as they are all back in west m’sia, and I do miss having them around! serbu my hse on 2nd day~ haha…

anyway, I had a weird fun cny celebration tis yr! haha… went badminton-ing in the middle of the week… cos a fren who works in KL, purposely brot his sport shoes back js to play with us. well, I dun mind at all cos I was in my 1 week break still! and then! for the 1st time, towards the end of the weekdays, I went to play again, with my dad, lil bro and sis! hahah! 1st time eh! why we went? cos, everyone was having too long a holiday! hahah! that is why!~ NOTHING TO DO, NO WHERE TO GO! and worse, all the makan place, NOT OPEN! walao eh! tis year, I really find it hard to look for a place to eat during the whole week of cny! even today, as I almost reach my office, a few of the kopitiams in that area IS STIL CLOSED!~ yerrr! how I wish i'm stil having my break oso! hahaha… omost fall ‘dead’ in the office today! hehe…

oh, speaking of wich, I tink my car is turning into a store room for my frens liau, one day soon! hahaha… JK! JK! i'm not mad lar, dun worry. I just find it funny! hahaha… one, left her camera. another, left her umbie! hehehe… anyone planning to leave cash behind? but then, it’ll become a taxi! haha… no no, leave your whole wallet behind then... hehe.

gues wad? today is already the 28th of February 2007. my above post has been in my draft since I duno when! cudnt online~ cish! well anyway, it’s the end of the second month already!! so freakin fast! lil niece is back to kl again, today ;-( but will soon be back here to celebrate her 1st birthday, 23 march! hahaha!

oh and today, had my car serviced til i'm broke! hahaha… ALMOST half a k! my gudiness! din know Major Service is sooo major! I mean, for servicing only, it takes half a k? hmmmm… hahaha… usually its like almost one third of the amount nia! anyway, guess wad I’ve been doin? been photoshopping the pix taken during cny!~ esp family pixes! hahaha… wanna see? then come to my hse lar.. they are all up on the wall! hahaha… those pixes are ‘my’ personal corners… hehehe

AND I FORGOT ABOUT A DATE WITH MY BUNCH OF FRENS! my gudiness! i felt sooo terible! hahaha... but cant blame me fully oso, u see. the date was planned by us BEFORE cny, and was supposed to be ON monday! but i forgot! monday, 26th! hahaha... TOTALLY forgot! my gudiness! terible terible me!

oh finally, im connected to my sketchbook! phewww! hahaaha... see, now i dun rili know wad to write anymore! brb soon! with pixes maybe! bye for now!

after 10 years ++ not playing, hahah…I finally had the chance to play badminton again! earlier on tonite, went to play with a bunch of my close old pals. my gudiness~ so many people, and everyone is soooo good!! I was so terrified, haha.. and I gues it was not only me, but my other frens oso! hahaha.. except for one, shel, who has been playing all these while. haha.. but anyway, after getting a lil used to it, wahh.. it is NICE! being able to sweat all out, and moving around, THOUGH I'M STIL VERY VERY NOT GOOD AT IT. but it was great fun! hahaha… even though most of the time, gotta pick up the shuttlecock… or this n that. but, great! I love it! planning to go again on monday! how I wish the courts have partition! hahaha.. then we wont be soo paiseh playing among all the very-good-ones! but then again, who cares! as long as we dun kacau others… and we enjoyed ourselves! hahaha… nice!

yay! my lil niece is coming back tomolo night! yay! yay!

and btw, yesterday, went out for lunch with boss + wife cos I was bored to half death. haha… so took the opportunity to get outa office! went to Rasa Indah, a malay restaurant near my office. guess wad!!!! while they were eating, and i was done wit mine, an elderly malay couple came, HOLDING HANDS! hehehe... rili cant stop myself from smiling. SO DAMN SWEET! btw, they are rili old. but still, so caring of each other. hehe... niceeeeeeee!

Taxi Drivers in Malaysia

Just read news in thestaronline last night regarding the increase of radio-call-service charges for taxis, from RM1 to RM2, and the same increment for charges to putting luggage in boots. And then, a while ago, I heard the news from hitz.fm that taxi drivers in Klang are to attend courses so that they will be more courteous drivers.

So, I might as well blog about the experiences I had with the taxi drivers in KL. LOL dead me. The can be just ANYTHING! As of now, I can only recall 2 incidents.

FIRST INCIDENT.

I was in KL, staying with my sis in USJ, and that day, I was out with friends, so I used LRT to Kelana Jaya. And from there, so ‘soi-ly’ I had to use the taxi coz jiefu was busy that evening. FYI, I AM VERY DIRECTION-BLIND. EVEN IN KUCHING, WHAT MORE TO SAY KL!

I knew I won't be able to recognize the way home, so before I got in, I asked the driver very clearly, “USJ 11. You know where?” he replied, ”Tauk! Tauk!” It was an Indian, btw. So, once I got in, he started asking me questions, talking to me. I tried to ignore his questions, but he kept asking. Then, luckily got call on my hp, so I could ‘escape’ his talk. But after the call, he continued talking, NOT ASKING anymore, but TALKING, regardless of whether you’re listening or not! He is not the uncle-ly type of apek, but more like a buaya! Anyway, he drove to USJ area, and pretended not to know the way! Cish! I was so angry at him, but there is nothing I can do! So I said, “Tadi kata tau tempat! Skrg kata tak tau mana USJ 11!” And he pretended to get lost some more, coz he knows I don't know the way! (I hate knowing that I cannot do anything!) Seeing that, my elder sis, via sms, asked me to tell him that I want the receipt later. Coz he also knew that KJ LRT Station to USJ 11 ain’t supposed to be as much as what he charged. If I would make a complaint or anything, he will be in trouble. And only then, he pretended to, “Oh!” here… “Oh!” there… and suddenly KNOW THE WAY! How ‘miraculous!’

Ok. That was by far, the worst incident I had with taxi drivers... til, 2006 January. AND I THOUGHT THAT HAPPENS BECAUSE I WAS ALONE AND NOT LOCAL. So he made a fool of me. Nvm. It’s just too bad that I don’t know the way! But…!

SECOND INCIDENT!

Guess what; this time… there were 3 of us! MUMMY, LIL SIS and ME. We were in KL then to settle my lil sis’ UTAR registration, and that day, we were done with everything in PJ, so we took a cab to get back to USJ, again! Haha. This time, it’s very funny! Haha.

As usual, before you got into a taxi, you’ll tell the driver your destination and if he knows, he’ll send you there, right? So we told him, USJ 11. He said OK. Drive drive drive, haha! Lol… til a traffic junction around Subang Parade area, he asked, “which way?” Luckily this time my lil sis was there, coz she really can tell directions very well! But that time, when he asked, it was too sudden. So my sis was abit blur. She said, “I’m not veryyy sure… I think it’s… errr…” (something like that lar, kinda lagging an answer. And kinda blur). Mum and me, langsung don't know the way. And that crazy Indian driver got angry coz I think he don't know the way! Haha.. GUESS WHAT HE SAID? “Don't try to fool me, I tell you!” LOL! The 3 of us were so ‘suffering-ly’ trying NOT TO burst out laughing! Hahahah! WhahahHAhAH! Aduh! whahAHAHAhaha! Then I told him, “We were NOT. YOU said you know the way!” But sis gave the correct direction anyway, thereafter. Haha! And we managed to get home! Phewww! What an experience!

Aiyo, think lar, if we really know the way, would we still wanna get stucked in your taxi for so long? And let you round here and there, ending up, WE were the one to pay more! Aduh… common sense lar! Fool you, kononnya!

And that phrase became our ‘joke of the week’! Haha! Told my elder sis about that, and we laughed our heads out! Hahah!

“DON’T TRY TO FOOL ME, I TELL YOU!”

hahahah! LOL. For gudness’ sake, I'm wondering, is that really how they treat their passengers? Aren't they supposed to be the ones driving us to our destination? Why ended up, needing us to tell them the directions? And why do they have to always pretend as if they don't know the way (1st incident)? Can't they just send people directly to the right places, and proceed with MORE passengers, and EARN even more? And, fyi, 2nd incident, we really weren’t fooling him! We don’t really know the way too. But I guess he was very hot-tempered! Haha… LOL.

And since then, we don’t really get to use taxi much anymore, coz those few times we were there, it’s either we were fetched by jiefu, or I'm the one driving, or, taxi BUT with clear directions coz lil sis knows the way around VERY WELL now! Hehe…

So peeps, “DON’T TRY TO FOOL ME, I TELL YOU!”

5 February 2007, Mundane Monday!

Doing practically NOTHING in the office today! Rushed like mad the whole last week and now, awaiting confirmations from those clients. And I'm left without anything else to do… cny is around the corner! That is why! Everyone is busy preparing and most businesses are at a halt due to the festival! Aiyo. So bored I am!

Anyway, yesterday, me being the kuai girl… hehe… helped my mum with the cny kukies! Hahaha! Mum baked ‘kueh-S’, as it is known as. I only helped her to transfer onto the trays to be baked! Haha. And I kept wondering, why don’t they do it in shapes other than an ‘S’? What is so nice with the ‘S’ shape? So, here it is, the pix… for those who have never seen one. (Sorry, some pix are kinda blur! But at least, can be seen lar).

And with the festive occasion around the corner, as usual, I'm very much looking forward to the tvc especially from those major corporate companies - petronas, perodua, tnb, etc. haha. And, so far, I only saw ONE very funny tvc! Haha! I am so laughing now as I type! Haha. McD’s Prosperity Foldover ad, was so funny til when I saw it for the 1st time, I quickly sms my elder sis (in KL) to watch it too! Haha! LOL. Really funny! As if the lion was a ghost! LOL! So cute. Wonder what the other tvc will be! Haha! Especially Petronas’!

Bored-nya me! Fyi, I'm writing this from office, again. Hehe. NOTHING TO DO! Argh! I prefer a packed, rush week that nothing to do! Hmmph! Oh btw, I'm flying to KL over the Good Friday weekend in april! That is with my godmum. And then, during gawai again, with my family! Keep goin to the same place, for what I also don't really know! Go meet my lil niece a.k.a. the ‘mannequin’! Haha… Can't really take leave this year! *sob *sob
